Abstract

A collection of papers showing the range of Quaker and Methodist concerns, from the suppression of vice and advancement of public morality expressed in the monthly journal The Sentinel, to the Rev. J. Wesley's opinions, anti-slavery and anti-war pamphlets, references to religious texts and prayers, including the translation of the Lord's Prayer into Chinese. There is also an 1839 report of the Van Diemen's Land Auxiliary Bible Society.
