Official URL: http://www.publish.csiro.au/nid/51/paper/CH98166.htm AbstractThe platinum(II) complex K[PtMe2{(pz)3BH-N,N'}] reacts with SnCl2Me2 to form Pt(SnClMe2)Me2{(pz)3BH-N,N',N"} ([(pz)3BH]- =tris(pyrazol-1-yl)borate). The closely related complex Pt(SnMe3)Me2{(pz)3BH-N,N',N"} has distorted octahedral geometry for platinum with Pt-Sn 2.5727(8) A. The Pt-N distance trans to the SnMe3 group [2.237(7) A] is longer than those trans to the Me groups
[2.127(7) and 2.131(6) A], indicating for the trimethylstannyl group a trans influence which is higher
than that for the methyl group. Repository Staff Only: item control page
