Central Otago Heritage Trust
Memory Bank — St. Bathans Branch
Welcome to the demonstrator CD for the Central Otago Heritage Trust containing a demonstration of how the repository might look and operate. This demonstrator that shows how an EPrints system could look and operate will be read-only and some features (such as Search) will not be fully functional.
This will be evaluated by your organisation in order to produce a list of desired alterations.
This will enable you to see and specify what elements you liked and did not like in order to suggest improvements for the next stage. It also offers the opportunity to consider which subject headings and classifications would be needed to ensure compatibility with existing systems and your organisation's requirements.
When your system is finished this archive will be linked to another database that will contain the authenticated material from this and the other branches of the Central Otago Memory Bank.
"St. Bathans was originally a mining town and lies on the Blue Lake. The Blue Lake was created through mining. When the mining stopped the hole filled with water, creating a lake, the blue colour was caused through the minerals in
the water."
When your system is finished this archive will be listed with the
Registry of Open Access Repositories (ROAR). Here you can see some examples of EPrints repositories arround the world
