Note this only makes sense for enumerated lists, but this isn’t checked
as there’s no clean way to do it. There’s also no check that the <item>
is inside a list element, because there are about a billion different
element variants that can be used to specify a list.

This had already been fixed in lecturecommon.sty, but chances are that documents using the XML framework won’t use that package anyway.

Automated calculation of current year and first Monday. ...

This means we no longer have to change the dates every year! Note that this does imply that the script now always generates output for the current year, so you can’t run it ahead of time (e.g., in December).
